Back to Posts HLS Recap Part 2
(In case you missed it, here's Part 1 of my recap.)
Saturday! Man, I slept like a rock Friday night. I woke up pumped and ready for our full day of blogging sessions. My first stop of the day, though, was picking up my Swag Bag since I had checked in late the night before. I must say, this swag bag was the swaggiest:
Groceries, holla!
I also picked up these beauties (thank you, Reebok!!)
Ultimate swag
Breakfast was sponsored by Wild Harvest and included a dish from their blogger "breakfast showdown," in which bloggers had submitted recipes to compete for a $500 prize. The winning recipe was Cupcake Kelly's Greek-Inspired Egg Scramble. Congrats Kelly! I had a few bites of this (unfortunately not pictured), and it was truly award-worthy! I made sure to grab one of the recipe cards that Wild Harvest provided, so I'll be looking to make this one at home soon.
The rest of the spread was pretty great too.

Breakfast, will you marry me?
Next up was our mini Crossfit workout with Reebok.

I unfortunately don't have better pictures of this, but imagine about 100 times more women lined up in our tent, captained by towering, muscle-y Crossfit dudes. Intimidating? A bit. Our WOD consisted of 6 air squats followed by 15 jumps, repeated as many times as possible in the span of 5 minutes. That didn't seem like enough of a workout at the time, but my legs only became more and more jello-like as the day went on. Eventually, I realized that 10 sets of the squat/jumps came out to 60 squats and 150 jumps, which is nothing to shake a stick at for someone who does neither regularly. Overall, I think the session piqued my interest in doing a group intro class at my local Crossfit gym, so now I just need to find a
The rest of the day was spent attending sessions led by the conference's more experienced bloggers. There were two tracks, which were often hard to choose between, but I attended Blog Photog Basics with Gretchen Powell, a panel on Blogging With Brands, a Newbie Q & A session, and a panel on The Fuzzy Grey Areas of Blogging.

In between, this incredible lunch happened:

I finished out the day by winning my first ever door prize!

Stay tuned for Part 3!
